Open in the Most Populated Area to Process Civil Complaints Quickly
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] On the 2nd, Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that it opened the Hwasun-eup Civil Service Branch Office and officially started operations.
About 50 people attended the opening ceremony, including County Governor Gu Bokgyu, Hwasun County Council Chairman Ha Seongdong, Hwasun County council members, and heads of social organizations in Hwasun-eup.
The Hwasun-eup Civil Service Branch Office was newly opened in the Gwangdeok district, where the population is most concentrated within the jurisdiction, providing administrative civil service such as resident registration, seal and signature verification, family relations, family register, farmland ledger, local taxes, and national tax-related documents.
However, family relation-related reports, corrections (including family register), issuance of resident registration cards, new registration or changes of seals, and moving-in reports can be processed at the existing Eup Administrative Welfare Center.
The population of Hwasun-eup reaches about 40,000, accounting for 63% of the total population of Hwasun-gun, causing civil complaints to concentrate at the Hwasun-eup Administrative Welfare Center civil service office, resulting in significant inconvenience for residents.
Also, as the only tertiary general hospital in Jeollanam-do, Hwasun Jeonnam National University Hospital, is far from the Eup Administrative Welfare Center, requests for establishing a branch office have been steadily raised.
Accordingly, the county explained that the branch office was opened to resolve residents' inconveniences and improve satisfaction with administrative services.
Governor Gu Bokgyu said, “There are many visitors to the eup for civil affairs, and especially on market days in Hwasun-eup, residents must have been more inconvenienced. With the opening of the civil service branch office, I hope residents’ accessibility and the mobility convenience of the elderly in winter will improve so that they can receive civil services quickly and conveniently.”
