[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Choi] Naver Connect Foundation's AI practical talent training program, 'Boostcamp AI Tech,' is recruiting its 5th batch of trainees. With this 5th recruitment, Boostcamp AI Tech has produced over 1,000 AI engineers in just two years since its establishment.
Boostcamp AI Tech is an AI practical talent training program that provides education ranging from basic knowledge of artificial intelligence to hands-on training using real datasets to develop AI. It features a systematic curriculum delivered by 82 faculty members, including top-tier AI researchers and current and former engineers. The entire training course is conducted in teams to help trainees develop essential skills such as communication and problem-solving abilities required for AI engineers.
The 5th batch of AI Tech has strengthened its 'AI community' aspect. Various community events among AI professionals, mentors, masters, and trainees, as well as alumni communities and post-sessions, have been organized to ensure close interaction continues even after completion. Corporate networking has also been activated, introducing more than 30 partner companies and providing opportunities to explore job roles.
Established in 2021, Boostcamp AI Tech has become the leading AI engineer training program in Korea within two years. Graduates have achieved excellent results in a total of 27 competitions, including 1st to 3rd place in Naver Clova AI Rush 2022, grand prize and encouragement awards at the 2nd K-Digital Training Hackathon, and encouragement awards at Hyundai Motor Company’s R&D AI competition.
Kim Junhee, leader of Naver Connect Foundation’s Boostcamp AI Tech, said, “The greatest strength is that anyone can receive high-quality AI professional education regardless of age, gender, major, or region,” adding, “We will continue to advance the training program to nurture the best AI talent in Korea.”
