[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Seo Ui-taek, Chairman of the Dongmyeong Cultural Foundation school corporation, and Jeon Ho-hwan, President of Dongmyeong University, participated in the ‘#ENDviolence’ online campaign to eradicate violence against children and adolescents worldwide on the 2nd.
Chairman Seo Ui-taek joined the campaign upon being nominated by Shin Jeong-taek, Chairman of Sewoon Steel, and President Jeon Ho-hwan participated after being nominated by Chairman Seo.
On that day, Chairman Seo and President Jeon said, “We hope that all children around the globe can grow up in a safe environment free from abuse and violence.”
President Jeon Ho-hwan nominated Jang Young-su, President of the National Pukyong National University, as the next participant.
‘#ENDviolence’ is a relay campaign jointly conducted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNICEF since July to protect children and adolescents worldwide who are exposed to various forms of violence and to promote solidarity in the international community.
The campaign is carried out under the slogan “Take action, stop violence,” emphasizing that stopping violence starts with our attention.
Participation involves posting photos or videos taken with the ‘END violence’ campaign logo along with messages to eradicate child violence on social media, and nominating the next participant to continue the campaign.
