According to the city on the 3rd, Mayor Lee Hak-su visited the Daehan Passenger city bus garage alone without any attendants on the first day of the new year, exchanged New Year's greetings with transportation workers preparing the first bus at dawn, urged safe driving, and expressed his gratitude.
He also visited the Jeongeup Fire Station to encourage the hard work of fire officials who work day and night for citizens' safety and took time to listen to their difficulties.
At dawn that day, he visited the agricultural products wholesale market and the environmental workers' waiting room, exchanging New Year's greetings with workers and practicing on-site communication administration.
While touring the wholesale market, Mayor Lee comforted merchants struggling due to the economic downturn and promised to promote policies to revitalize the local economy in the new year.
He also visited the environmental workers' waiting room, who are at the forefront of environmental administration, and expressed gratitude for their dedication to their duties in unseen places.
Mayor Lee Hak-su said, "Thanks to all of you who silently fulfill your roles in your respective positions, Jeongeup citizens enjoy a comfortable life," and added, "In the new year, we will prioritize citizens' happiness and the recovery of people's livelihoods as the top policy tasks and do our best to protect citizens' lives."
