The Grim Entertainment Secures 14 Billion Won Investment

"Expanding Webtoon Base and Diversifying IP Utilization"

The Grim Entertainment Secures 14 Billion Won Investment

The Grime Entertainment announced three days ago that it has recently secured an investment worth 14 billion KRW. The investors include Korea Investment Partners, Naver Webtoon, Korea Credit Guarantee Fund, and Innopolis. They highly valued the company's worth built on popular webtoons such as "Lookism," "Fight Class," "Manager Kim," "Quest for Supremacy," and "Death Boy," along with a solid reader base. The Grime Entertainment plans to use the investment to expand the webtoon ecosystem. While continuing collaborations with established famous authors, they will actively pursue secondary creations such as animations, movies, and dramas by utilizing intellectual property (IP). They will also expand support for educational projects currently underway for amateur authors. CEO Park Tae-joon stated, "We will discover talented authors and creative works to broaden the webtoon base, diversify IP utilization, and promote the competitiveness of Korean webtoons globally."
