Nam-gu announced on the 3rd that starting from the New Year's issue scheduled for release on the 18th, it will adopt the 'Voice Eye Code System' to enhance accessibility for information-vulnerable groups such as the visually impaired and people with disabilities.
The Voice Eye Code is a system that converts printed text information into voice, and anyone can use it by downloading the related app on their smartphone.
In addition to the newsletter, the system will be expanded to various promotional materials issued by the district office, event introduction brochures, and research and survey publications.
Meanwhile, since 2021, Nam-gu has been implementing policy projects to bridge the information gap, such as publishing Braille newsletters to improve understanding of major district policies and vividly convey various news to the visually impaired.
