Nearly 3m Tall 'World's Tallest' in Spotlight

News recently emerged that a man living in Ghana, Africa, is nearly 3 meters tall, surprising the world, but after measuring his height directly, it was confirmed to be just over 2 meters 20 cm.
According to the British BBC, Sulemana Abdul Samed (29), who lives in the Gambaga village in northern Ghana, was told at a local hospital that his height reached 9 feet 6 inches (289 cm) after a health checkup. However, the hospital did not have precise height measurement tools, so it was impossible to verify the exact figure of his height.
The current tallest living person is Sultan Kosen (40), who resides in Turkey, with a height of 9 feet 2.8 inches (251 cm). If the measurement were accurate, Samed would be about 38 cm taller than him.
Upon hearing this news, BBC reporters brought a tape measure 16 feet (487 cm) long to verify Samed's height. Measuring him directly with the tape, his height was recorded as 7 feet 4 inches (approximately 224 cm), smaller than the hospital's measurement.
The media told Samed the results, saying, "The tallest living man is slightly taller than you." In response, Samed said, "I am still growing tall," and added, "Who knows if someday I will reach that height."
Samed is known to have been diagnosed with gigantism. He recalled, "When I was 22 years old, I felt my tongue had grown so large that I could hardly breathe properly."
Abnormally long limbs can cause complications such as heart disease. Samed tried to undergo surgery, but it was reported that the cost was not insignificant. Currently, Samed maintains his livelihood by running a mobile phone sales business with his older brother.
