2023 Online and Offline Kick-off Ceremony Held to Announce Management Plans

Gu Ji-eun, Vice Chairman of Ourhome, "Expanding Overseas Business Share Is Not a Choice but a Necessity"

[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Ji-eun Koo, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Ourhome, presented the expansion of overseas business as a key management goal for this year.


Ourhome announced on the 3rd that it held the 2023 online and offline opening ceremony on the 2nd, pledging a "New Ourhome Leap." The ceremony held at the Magok headquarters in Seoul was attended online by domestic field staff as well as overseas employees in the United States, Europe, and Vietnam.


In a presentation titled "2023 Management Plan and Mid-to-Long-Term Strategic Direction," Vice Chairperson Koo stated, "In 2022, for the first time since the company's founding, the sales proportion of overseas subsidiaries exceeded 10% of total sales," adding, "We achieved customer satisfaction beyond expectations through close communication among clients, local offices, and headquarters, as well as proactive operational strategies such as establishing a K-Food corner."


She continued, "In 2022, the domestic and international group meal service division created numerous new clients, laying the groundwork for greater growth in the future, and the Home Meal Replacement (HMR) business division's B2C (business-to-consumer) market approach was effective," evaluating, "It was a year of building a foundation for the future, including research and development achievements in care food and medi-food."


During the 2023 management plan sharing session, Vice Chairperson Koo emphasized, "Let's combine Ourhome's authenticity and strengths with global mega trends," stating, "Only companies that provide products and services multidimensionally through convergent thinking and capabilities can survive in this era."


She further stressed, "This year, we must move toward the 'New Ourhome' by accelerating global market penetration, Process Innovation (PI), introducing food tech, and strengthening digital capabilities." In particular, she added, "Dramatically increasing the proportion of overseas business, like global leading companies, is not an option but a necessity, and from this year, let's set global companies such as Compass and Sodexo as competitors beyond the domestic market."
