[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Drink International announced on the 3rd that it has appointed Executive Director Cha Hun as co-CEO.
Drink International is a liquor company established by CEO Kim Ilju to distribute 'Imperial,' the first local whiskey in Korea, for which it acquired exclusive domestic sales rights in 2019. CEO Cha plans to serve as co-CEO alongside CEO Kim Ilju.
The newly appointed CEO Cha, born in 1975, graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Public Administration and is a marketing expert in the whiskey industry, having worked at Suseok Trade and William Grant & Sons Korea. Over the past 17 years, he has successfully led product development and marketing tailored to domestic consumers' preferences and tastes through various liquor companies. Since joining Drink International in 2019, he has served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) overseeing management and spearheaded business expansion into the wine market through its subsidiary Interliquor. Last year, he successfully launched the French authentic luxury champagne Golden Blanc, establishing it firmly in the market.
A Drink International board member stated, "To leap forward as a top liquor company, we have appointed CEO Cha, whose skills have already been proven and who possesses outstanding abilities and expertise."
