[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Su-yeon] Yoo Sang-young, President of SK Broadband, held an inauguration ceremony and a town hall meeting with members at the SK Broadband headquarters on the afternoon of the 2nd, stating, "This year, let's make it a year to achieve a 'Virtually One Company' through the chemical integration between SK Telecom and SK Broadband (hereinafter T-B)."

President Yoo explained, "The two companies aim to respond nimbly to the market as one body and effectively create results to further strengthen T-B synergy," adding, "That is precisely why I concurrently serve as president of both SK Telecom and SK Broadband." President Yoo was appointed CEO of SK Telecom in 2021 and has led SK Broadband starting this year.

To this end, he said he would smartly pursue strategies from three perspectives to provide customers with industry-leading value.

First, based on T-B synergy, he called for continuous growth in quality and service competitiveness in the wired and enterprise markets. Next, he mentioned expanding the scale of media and DC (Data Center) businesses.

In the media sector, he emphasized strengthening content capabilities through collaboration with Wave and the three IPTV companies, including joint procurement, and in the DC business, he urged expanding the customer base based on the largest domestic site secured to make this year a fruitful one. Lastly, he requested the execution of digital transformation across all service areas.

President Yoo said, "I will actively implement each of the points shared with members at today's town hall meeting," adding, "We will establish a virtuous cycle structure where the company's growth increases the happiness of its members, which in turn fuels further company growth."
