[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seok-jin, legal affairs specialist] Lee Nam-cheol, president of the Korea Certified Judicial Scrivener Association, urged thorough efforts in association affairs to resolve pressing issues such as the revision of the Judicial Scrivener Act and improvement of compensation standards.
At the 2023 New Year's ceremony of the Korea Certified Judicial Scrivener Association held on the 7th floor conference room of the Judicial Scrivener Hall in Nonhyeon-dong, Seoul, on the 2nd, President Lee exchanged New Year's greetings with attendees and said, "The Year of the Black Rabbit brings important tasks such as revising the Judicial Scrivener Act, improving compensation standards, and holding the first in-person general meeting in three years. Especially, since many members may be struggling due to the economic downturn, please prepare thoroughly in association affairs to address these challenges."
About 20 participants, including the executive team and secretariat staff, made new resolutions for the development of the judicial scrivener industry and embarked on association affairs for the Year of the Black Rabbit.
Oh Young-na, spokesperson for the Korea Certified Judicial Scrivener Association, stated, "The Korea Certified Judicial Scrivener Association plans to actively support the 'Legal Life Support TF' launched this year to assist with various legal issues such as non-contentious cases, small claims, mediation, and reconciliation handled by judicial assistants, ensuring responsible and prompt resolution."
