[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Mokpo Coast Guard transported an emergency patient from Heuksando Island in Sinan County to the mainland.

According to the Mokpo Coast Guard on the 2nd, at 11:41 p.m. on the 31st of last month, a report was received that Mr. A (male, in his 40s) showed suspected symptoms of high blood pressure on Heuksando Island in Sinan County.

The Coast Guard dispatched a patrol vessel to Sari Port on Heuksando Island and quickly moved Mr. A near Seomang Port in Jindo County, handing the patient over to a coastal rescue boat from the local police station that was on standby.

With the help of the Coast Guard, the emergency patient was urgently transported to a large hospital in Mokpo, where he underwent detailed examinations and received treatment.

Meanwhile, the Mokpo Coast Guard protected the precious lives of citizens by promptly transporting 313 emergency patients from island areas and at sea to the mainland last year, using patrol vessels and coastal rescue boats from police stations.
