[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Doosan Construction announced on the 2nd that it signed a contract worth 444.8 billion KRW for the 'Cheongju Samo 2 District Redevelopment Maintenance Project' on December 30th of last year.
The Cheongju Samo 2 District Redevelopment Maintenance Project will be developed in the Sajik-dong area of Seowon-gu, Cheongju City, consisting of 50 apartment buildings with a total of 4,148 households, ranging from 4 basement floors to 29 above-ground floors. The exclusive area ranges from 39㎡ to 114㎡.
The Cheongju Samo 2 District Redevelopment Maintenance Project is located within walking distance of Sajik Elementary School and Cheongju Girls' Middle School, and is adjacent to Chungbuk National University and the Central Library. Musimcheon Stream, Sajik 2 Park, Cheongju Sports Complex, and Cheongju City Art Museum are also nearby.
The project aims to start construction in the first half of 2025, with completion scheduled 38 months after actual construction begins.
In addition to the Cheongju Samo 2 District Redevelopment Maintenance Project, Doosan Construction signed contracts for the Suwon Yeonghwa Apartment Redevelopment Project worth 112.8 billion KRW and the Daegu Pyeongni 2 Redevelopment Project worth 228 billion KRW. The total contract amount for the three projects signed at the end of December last year is 785.6 billion KRW.
