"Cannibalism Arises Due to Food Shortage"… Nostradamus' 2023 Prophecy

Prophecies of Great War and Floods

The prophecy made by Nostradamus, the famous seer known for the "1999 Doomsday Prediction," about "what 2023 will look like" is gaining attention as the new year begins.

On the 1st (local time), the British daily Daily Mail summarized and published the contents related to 2023 from the prophecy book of Nostradamus (real name Michel de Nostredame), a French physician and astrologer. This prophecy book, completed posthumously in 1568, contains predictions of historical events and large-scale disasters from 1555 to 3797.

Nostradamus's vision of 2023 in this book can be broadly categorized into five main points. These include a great war waged by 'forces of evil,' the extinguishing of Mars's light, a 'cannibalistic custom' where wheat surges (price spikes) and neighbors devour each other, the land becoming even drier with great floods occurring when rainbows appear, and trumpets shaking with great discord. These are the key themes of the 2023 prophecy.

First, Nostradamus predicted a 'great war' in 2023. In particular, there is a phrase about a "great war lasting seven months, with people dying due to evil." This has led to claims that "the war that began with Russia's invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, could escalate into World War III, as foreseen by Nostradamus."

The Daily Mail analyzed, "The 'war' mentioned by Nostradamus could refer to China's invasion of Taiwan or a confrontation with the United States over South China Sea territorial disputes, or conflicts between nuclear powers Pakistan and India. However, considering the number 'seven months' in the prophecy, it seems to indicate a conventional war rather than a nuclear war that would end within hours."

Additionally, Nostradamus predicted in the prophecy book that "when the light of Mars goes out, there will be celestial fire," suggesting that development on Mars, considered humanity's most promising space colony, might be halted in 2023. The prophecy also includes that "amid despair caused by problems in the food supply chain, cannibalistic customs will arise among people."

Nostradamus also foretold "a great impact caused by climate change in 2023." Specifically, the prophecy states, "the dry land will become even drier, and when rainbows appear, great floods will occur." This reflects the already widespread concerns about natural disasters caused by climate change affecting all of humanity.

Finally, Nostradamus predicted, "In 2023, trumpets will shake with great discord, and agreements will be broken." Regarding this prophecy, commentators analyze that "more social upheavals, revolutions, and rebellions will occur."

The Daily Mail mentioned, "The COVID-19 pandemic has made the majority of the world's population poorer, while simultaneously increasing contempt for the super-rich who have amassed astronomical wealth despite the pandemic." It added, "Last year, we witnessed several potential protests, including in Iran, where anti-government demonstrations continued after a female university student mysteriously died for not wearing her hijab properly."
