Goseong-gun Commits to a Hopeful Start... Holds Opening Ceremony Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held a kick-off ceremony at the county office to pledge a hopeful new start.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Goseong County, Gyeongnam, held a kickoff ceremony at the county office on the 2nd to pledge a hopeful new start.


Held for the first time in three years due to COVID-19, the ceremony began with an anti-corruption and integrity oath, followed by awards for citizens and public officials who contributed to policies, a New Year's address, and New Year's greetings with employees.


In his New Year's address, County Governor Lee Sang-geun said, "In the Year of the Black Rabbit, we will do our best to carry out county administration to bring new changes and hope to the residents," adding, "If everyone unites through communication and cooperation, Goseong can achieve even greater leaps."


At the ceremony, the Education and Youth Division received the Minister of Gender Equality and Family Commendation as an excellent local government for youth policies in 2022, the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Ministry Commendation was awarded to the top institution in the excellent case competition for cadastral civil complaint handling, and the Health Center received the Gyeongsangnam-do Governor's Commendation for contributions to health promotion in 2022.


Additionally, in public official commendations, Heo Soo-eun from the Welfare Support Division and Kim Hwa-jin from the Architecture Development Division, who received the Prime Minister's Commendation as exemplary government officials, along with 27 others, were awarded public official commendations. In civilian commendations, ten people, including Bae Sam-tae, former president of the Goseong County Agricultural Managers Association, who received the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Commendation, were honored.


Before the ceremony, County Governor Lee Sang-geun, along with senior officials, visited Namsan Memorial Tower, Danghangpo Sungchungsa Shrine, and the Memorial Tower to offer flowers and incense in a New Year's tribute.
