[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] LIG Nex1 (CEO Kim Ji-chan) awarded the ‘Nex1 Person of the Year Award’ and the ‘CEO Commendation’ on the 2nd to employees who contributed to the company’s growth and development through outstanding performance last year.
Started in 2004, the ‘Nex1 Person of the Year Award’ is a corporate culture event held to boost employees’ pride and motivate them to achieve performance and vision.
LIG Nex1 announced that the highest honor, the ‘Nex1 Person of the Year Award,’ has added a group category this year in addition to the existing individual category.
In the individual category, Kim Dae-jun, head of the PGM Air Defense System Research Institute, was selected for contributing to strengthening competitiveness and securing a foundation for future related project orders through proposal strategy establishment and orders for the artillery interception system exploration and development. In the group category, three teams jointly received the award for achieving 100% orders in eight new exploration radar projects, developing laser extinguisher technology, and developing a 2.75-inch guided rocket launch system for small naval vessels.
The ‘CEO Commendation’ was awarded to six people in total from research, business, overseas, production, and support sectors, including Park Kyung-tae, head of the Electronic Warfare Technology Development Team, who was recognized for his contribution as the overall manager of the electronic warfare software field and for securing major electronic warfare projects. Each received a commendation and a prize.
CEO Kim Ji-chan said in his New Year’s greeting, “Despite the difficult domestic and international economic conditions last year, it was a year of achieving high management performance thanks to the efforts of all employees,” and added, “Let us strengthen solid management this year focusing on the management activity directions of ‘business stability,’ ‘organizational transformation and financial soundness,’ ‘technology development,’ ‘securing future growth engines,’ and ‘talent development.’”
