[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Park Jun-ro, the newly appointed Deputy Governor of Yeongyang County, officially took office and began full-scale duties on January 1.
Appointed as Deputy Governor of Yeongyang County following personnel appointments by Gyeongbuk Province, Deputy Governor Park Jun-ro received his appointment certificate from County Governor Oh Do-chang at the Yeongyang County Office and commenced official duties.
Originally from Uiseong, Gyeongbuk, Deputy Governor Park Jun-ro began his public service career in 1989 in Sangju City. In 1995, he transferred to Gyeongbuk Province, working in the Tourism Industry Bureau and the Construction and Urban Disaster Prevention Bureau, and was promoted to Head of Facilities at the Comprehensive Construction Office in 2014.
After his promotion to Section Chief, he served in Cheongdo County’s Safety and Construction Division, the Provincial Safety Office, and the Council Secretariat. In July 2021, he was promoted to Head of the Rural Vitality Division in the Agriculture, Livestock, and Distribution Bureau of Gyeongbuk Province, demonstrating outstanding work capabilities. From January 2022, he worked as Head of the Road and Railroad Division in the Construction and Urban Bureau of Gyeongbuk Province before his recent appointment as Deputy Governor of Yeongyang County.
Deputy Governor Park Jun-ro stated, “It is a significant moment to take office as Deputy Governor of Yeongyang County at the start of the 8th term of the local government in 2023, when important projects must be actively promoted. I will do my best to ensure that the various key policies promoted by County Governor Oh Do-chang proceed smoothly to create a ‘Happy Change, Hopeful Yeongyang!’”
