The opening ceremony was attended by Chairman Ryu Myeong-yeol, city council members, and staff from the council secretariat.
In his New Year's greeting, Chairman Ryu said, "I would like to express my gratitude to all the council members and staff who have done their best for the happiness of the citizens and the development of Gimhae City over the past year," adding, "In the new year, let us listen more closely to the voices of the citizens and carry out legislative activities to promote long-standing local projects, stabilize people's livelihoods, and lay the foundation for economic development."
The Gimhae City Council plans to hold a total of eight sessions, including two regular sessions and six extraordinary sessions, starting with the 251st extraordinary session on the 27th.
