Professor Heo Gwangseon of Gyeongnam Jeongbodae Receives Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Award Heo Gwang-seon, Head of the New Energy Industry Division.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Professor Heo Gwang-seon of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Energy at Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) received a commendation from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education.


Gyeongnam Information University announced on the 2nd that Professor Heo was recognized for his dedicated efforts in the "Digital New Technology Talent Cultivation Innovation Shared University" project.


Since 2020, Director Heo Gwang-seon has participated in the planning stage of the Digital New Technology Talent Cultivation Innovation Shared University Energy New Industry Project Group and is currently serving as the project director, developing and utilizing an operational model for a junior college-type innovation shared university.


In addition, to build a cutting-edge educational infrastructure, he established a future-oriented advanced lecture room where face-to-face and online lectures, lecture recordings, team project classes, hydrogen value chain process simulation VR experiences, and practical training can all take place in one space. He has worked to expand the base of energy new technology not only for major students but also for non-majors, industry workers, high school students, and the general public.


Director Heo said, "Through the Digital New Technology Talent Cultivation Innovation Shared University project, I will devote efforts to nurturing energy new technology personnel needed by the industry."


The Ministry of Education rewards those who have contributed to the Digital New Technology Talent Cultivation Innovation Shared University project, which aims to share resources mutually to eliminate educational capability gaps and establish a system for cultivating core talents in advanced fields.
