[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Eun-mo] Hite Jinro announced on the 2nd that it will release a new TV commercial for the fruit carbonated drink ‘Isul Toktok’ for the first time in seven years since 2016.
This commercial is based on the concept of a pink-themed Isul Toktok theme park. It expresses the feeling of drinking Isul Toktok as the joy experienced in a theme park.
The commercial begins with IU knocking on a peach door handle. Upon opening the door, a pink theme park unfolds, and Isul Toktok’s character Boksuni welcomes her. IU rides a carousel and slide, spending a fun time with Boksuni in a ball pool. The balls thrown by IU and Boksuni transform into carbonated bubbles, showcasing the refreshing sensation of Isul Toktok.
This commercial will be available from the 2nd on various media such as terrestrial and cable TV, and YouTube. Meanwhile, since its launch in 2016, Isul Toktok has sold 107 million cans to date.
Oh Seong-taek, Executive Director of Marketing at Hite Jinro, said, "This commercial metaphorically expresses the product’s features using visual elements," adding, "Through the sweet chemistry between IU and Boksuni, we will once again create a trend for Isul Toktok."
