Busan·Gyeongnam, Gyeonggi Welfare Blind Spots Worth 180 Million Won
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Health home appliance company ‘Cuckoo’ has generously donated over 300 water purifiers to neighbors in welfare blind spots.
The Cuckoo Social Welfare Foundation has been collaborating since October last year with partner organizations ‘Save the Children’ and ‘Siheung City 1 Percent Welfare Foundation’ to support water purifier projects for socially vulnerable households and welfare institutions.
Through this project, approximately 300 Cuckoo Homesys hot and cold water purifiers worth 183 million KRW and rental service memberships were provided to socially vulnerable groups and welfare facilities in Busan, Gyeongnam, and Siheung, Gyeonggi-do.
The foundation aims to improve the quality of life for neighbors in urgent need by supporting essential home appliances to vulnerable households in the community, group homes for the disabled, and child protection centers, contributing to the development of a culture of donation.
A Cuckoo representative stated, “We undertook this water purifier support project to provide some practical help to local neighbors struggling due to rising prices and economic downturn,” adding, “We will strive to ease the pain of the community and engage in social contribution activities to foster a warm culture of sharing.”
Cuckoo established the Cuckoo Social Welfare Foundation in 2007 to promote welfare for marginalized groups and improve quality of life.
The foundation has been conducting social contribution activities such as the ‘Cuckoo Love Sharing Campaign’ for marginalized groups and ‘Cuckoo Rainbow’ to support education for children from multicultural families.
