[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] Jung Cheoldong, CEO of LG Innotek, has presented 'creating differentiated customer value' as the core management keyword for the new year. The plan is to reassess business competitiveness for qualitative growth and foster a customer-centric work culture.
In a New Year's message to employees on the 2nd, CEO Jung stated, "Let us once again prove that the growth LG Innotek has achieved so far is based on fundamental competitiveness," and to this end, he proposed pursuing three strategic directions: ▲building LG Innotek as the first choice for customers ▲securing a solid profit structure ▲establishing a customer-centric work culture.
To become LG Innotek that customers seek first, CEO Jung urged the creation of ‘differentiated customer value.’ This means understanding customers' core needs and proactively proposing technologies and products suited to future directions to become a partner to customers. He emphasized, “The foundation of creating differentiated value for customers is thoroughly keeping the promises made to them.”
CEO Jung also called for reassessing business competitiveness for qualitative growth and securing a solid profit structure based on differentiated technology, cost, and quality competitiveness. He explained the need to nurture the automotive camera module in the optical solutions business as another leading business and rapidly grow the flip chip-ball grid array (FC-BGA) business, a future growth engine in substrate materials. He added that the automotive components business should accelerate business structure improvement activities, and the electronic components business should expand its customer base.
As a key execution plan to create differentiated customer value, he presented 'establishing a customer-centric work culture.' CEO Jung said, “By working with a customer-centric rather than an internal focus, individual capabilities improve alongside enhancing customer value,” and “Let us carry confidence that we can definitely achieve this and make 2023 a year of creating differentiated customer value to build a great company admired by all.”
