LG Energy Solution Announces Three Key Tasks for 'Strong Execution'

[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Kwon Young-soo, Vice Chairman of LG Energy Solution, emphasized that "we must not stop new challenges to secure future competitiveness."

In his New Year's address on the 2nd, Vice Chairman Kwon stated, "What we need most is strong execution capability. Based on this, we must strengthen internal capabilities, create an efficient work environment, and accelerate preparations for a greater future."

Highlighting 'strong execution capability' as the key management keyword for this year, LG Energy Solution presented three core tasks: ▲ advancement of IT systems and work efficiency ▲ clear R&R (Role & Responsibilities) ▲ establishment of solid teamwork.

They will advance the overall IT system, including building an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, to efficiently use and manage tangible and intangible resources. For work efficiency, simple repetitive tasks will be automated, and reporting and decision-making will be enabled through data generated by the system.

To clarify employees' roles and responsibilities, they plan to identify inefficient work tasks and discuss practical solutions for improvement.

Various measures to enhance teamwork will also be promoted. Since many domestic and international talents with diverse backgrounds have joined in a short period since the company's launch, regular exchanges between related departments will be activated, and team-building programs will be expanded and reorganized to establish a culture of mutual respect and communication.

Vice Chairman Kwon said, "If we quietly walk our path based on strong execution capability, I am confident we can achieve great results that will surprise the world. Now, more members have the courage to challenge not just with the confidence of 'we can do it' but with the desire of 'we want to do it,' so we can do better."

He added, "Let us all work together so that this year will be a year of steadily moving forward with passion and confidence toward becoming the most profitable company trusted and loved by customers by providing world-class QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery)."

As his first schedule of the new year, Vice Chairman Kwon attended the members' New Year's gathering 'Joyful Ensol' held at the 63rd floor Central Part of the Park One headquarters in Yeouido. Instead of a formal opening ceremony, various events for members were held in a relaxed atmosphere to start the first workday of the new year, including a New Year's greeting and blessing relay from global members, a one-day barista experience, and aroma healing.

Following this, Vice Chairman Kwon plans to visit the Ochang plant and Daejeon Technology Research Institute over three days to check the status of the smart factory, future research activities, and have free communication time with members.
