"10% Discount on Card and Mobile Onnuri Gift Certificates... Until the 31st"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups is launching a New Year's Onnuri Gift Certificate discount sale event starting today (1st).

This discount sale will be held until the 31st to boost consumer sentiment and revitalize traditional markets, shopping districts, and alleyway shopping areas.

During this period, the discount rate for rechargeable card-type gift certificates and mobile gift certificates will be increased from the existing 5% to 10%. The monthly purchase limit per person will also be raised from 500,000 won to 700,000 won for paper certificates, and from 700,000 won to 1,000,000 won for card and mobile certificates.

Minister Lee Young of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups said, "I hope that people can reduce their burden by purchasing Lunar New Year supplies with Onnuri Gift Certificates," adding, "I also hope this will help traditional market merchants by increasing their sales."
