[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Park Wansu, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, stated in his New Year's address on the 1st, "The year 2023, the Year of the Black Rabbit, will be a year of new hope and opportunities as well as the first year of a new leap forward for Gyeongnam."

He also said, "We will provide thorough support to ensure that the achievements in local industries such as defense, aerospace, and nuclear power plants bear proper fruit, and we will further expand investment attraction through the Gyeongnam Investment Agency to be established in the western region."

He pledged, "We will not simply attribute the existence of residents who do not benefit from growth to the limitations of the market economy and systems, but will support them with proactive welfare policies that transcend ideology and inertia."

He expressed his ambition to make Gyeongnam the "tourism hub of South Korea" by jointly promoting the development of the Namhaean area, including the Jangmok Tourist Complex, and tourism development in the Jirisan area combined with healing experiences.

He stated, "We will create a region where young people want to live and work, and where young people do not leave Gyeongnam," emphasizing ▲ education, job creation, and startup support ▲ and the full-scale promotion of improved living conditions.
