[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Gmarket and Auction announced on the 1st that they will hold the '2023 Seol Big Sale' promotion from the 2nd to the 17th.

Compared to last year's event, the coupon specifications have been expanded, and the number of special-priced products has more than doubled. A total of three types of discount coupons will be offered. Two 20% coupons, each providing up to 10,000 KRW and 50,000 KRW discounts, will be given one per day. A 15% coupon offering up to 100,000 KRW discount will be provided twice during the event period. Smile Club members, who are membership subscribers, will receive one additional coupon of each type. When adding all the coupon benefits provided during the Seol Big Sale to Smile Club members, the total discount can reach up to 4,640,000 KRW, which is 23% larger than last year's event. Additionally, 72 brand-specific coupons and card company discounts exclusive to easy payment methods will be introduced.

More than 560 special-priced products will be sold daily at discounts of up to 82%. This is more than double the number of products compared to last year's event. Among these, eight popular products per category will be carefully selected and revealed at midnight daily at industry-lowest prices. The first day of the event, the 2nd, is designated as 'Laptop/PC Buying Day.' Gmarket will feature products such as the 'LG Gram Laptop' and 'Logitech Korea Wireless Gaming Mouse,' while Auction will showcase items like the 'Samsung Odyssey Gaming Monitor' and 'Intel Gaming Custom PC.' Other categories will be featured on different days, including home appliances (3rd), digital devices (4th), and processed foods (5th), each challenging the lowest price of the day.

There is also an event offering up to 10,000 KRW Smile Cash to new Smile Club members. Detailed event information can be found by searching 'Seol Big Sale' on Gmarket and Auction starting from the 2nd.
