Goodbyecar Co., Ltd. Opens Electric Vehicle Specialized Dismantling Yard in Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do [Goodbye Car Icheon Branch Exterior and CEO Nam Junhee]

Goodbye Car Co., Ltd. (CEO Nam Jun-hee), a company specializing in the reuse and recycling of electric vehicles, announced on the 29th that it has opened a specialized electric vehicle dismantling yard in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province.

Goodbye Car had been searching for a larger dismantling yard due to the limited space at its first location in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, which was used for research and development on electric vehicle reuse and recycling. This time, they opened their second location. The site covers 3,000 pyeong with a building area of 1,400 pyeong, providing sufficient scale to research and demonstrate the condition assessment and dismantling of key electric vehicle components such as batteries, drive motors, and fuel cell stacks.

In October 2020, Goodbye Car officially received government approval for a demonstration exemption to manufacture power banks, small-capacity storage devices for camping and disaster preparedness, using reused electric vehicle batteries under the BASTRO trademark. Since then, they have been mass-producing and selling the power banks made from reused electric vehicle batteries, the first of their kind in Korea, and were designated as a promising environmental company in Gyeonggi Province in December of this year.

Nam Jun-hee, CEO of Goodbye Car, expressed his ambition to develop the second dismantling yard established in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, into the best specialized electric vehicle dismantling yard in Korea and to open a new horizon in the electric vehicle recycling industry.
