Along with this, the high interest of citizens in ‘Spacewalk,’ which has surpassed 1 million visitors within 11 months of opening, won the ‘Presidential Award at the Korea Spatial Culture Awards,’ and was selected as one of the ‘Top 100 Korean Tourist Attractions,’ reflecting its rise as a representative landmark not only in Pohang but throughout South Korea.

Following Pohang City’s nationwide first win of the ‘Grand Prize in the Battery Industry City Category’ at the ‘Korea Brand Awards,’ and being the only city in Gyeongbuk selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s ‘Hydrogen City Development Project,’ the achievements in new industries such as secondary batteries and hydrogen, which are being continuously fostered as future growth engines for sustainable development in Pohang, have received positive responses from citizens.
