Establishing a Collaborative System with Relevant Agencies for Rapid Response

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] Namhae-gun, Gyeongnam held a 'Safety Management Countermeasure Meeting' in preparation for the large crowds expected at the year-end sunset and sunrise events held in the area.
The meeting held on the 27th at the Namhae-gun Disaster Comprehensive Situation Room was attended by about 20 people, including County Governor Jang Chung-nam, heads of related departments, eup and myeon chiefs, Namhae Police Station, Namhae Fire Station, and staff from the Hallyeohaesang Office of the Korea National Park Service.
Namhae-gun, anticipating an increase in tourists visiting during the year-end and New Year holidays, established special safety management measures for sunrise spots such as Geumsan Boriam and Mulmi Coastal Road, as well as the Sangju Sunrise & Mulmegi Festival and the Darangi Village Sunrise event site.
Namhae-gun, along with Namhae Police Station, Namhae Fire Station, and the Hallyeohaesang Office of the Korea National Park Service, established a cooperative system and checked preparations for safety, including deployment of safety personnel in dangerous areas, traffic management such as parking lots, formation of safety management task forces, and rapid response in emergencies.
Governor Jang said, “To welcome the hopeful year 2023 and ensure the safety of residents and tourists, we will establish and implement safety measures without any negligence.”
