[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] Dongwoon Anatech announced on the 27th that it has signed a license agreement with Hong Kong Halo Microelectronics for AF/OIS technology.
Halo is a semiconductor company with research centers currently located in California, USA, China, and Singapore, focusing on analog and power management IC design. David Nam, CEO of Halo, stated, “We have many developers and designers from global semiconductor companies such as NXP, Maxim, and Fairchild, and our main products are mobile power semiconductors, wireless charging, and consumer power semiconductors. Through this license agreement with Dongwoon Anatech, we expect to expand our business into the smartphone market by developing and selling AF/OIS products in the Greater China region.”
Through this license agreement, Dongwoon Anatech will be able to expand its market share using Halo’s technology and sales network, while Halo will pursue product diversification through Dongwoon Anatech’s technology and patents. A representative from Dongwoon Anatech said, “We expect significant sales growth in the Greater China AF/OIS market based on market recovery following the lifting of COVID-19 lockdowns, as the synergy effect of the technologies and sales capabilities of both companies takes effect.”
