Muan-gun Achieves Excellent Results in 34 Fields in 2022

[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] On the 26th, Muan County, Jeollanam-do, held a meeting attended by heads of departments and town and township chiefs to review the major achievements of 2022 and discuss the direction of county administration.


This year, Muan County achieved excellent results in 34 fields including administration, welfare, and economy. It received 15 awards from central government ministries and 19 awards from Jeollanam-do, including the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award at the 18th Korea Local Autonomy Management Competition, the Minister of Employment and Labor Award for the National Local Government Job Awards, the Minister of Health and Welfare Award for Local Government Health Promotion Projects, and the Regional Agricultural Development Leading Person Award from the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation.


In particular, the county significantly enhanced its prestige by receiving the Presidential Award for meritorious service in cadastral re-survey work in the civil complaints and cadastral field.


Additionally, 52 projects in 5 fields were selected for public contest projects driving county development, securing a project budget of 76.6 billion KRW.


Major projects include ▲ 44 billion KRW for the establishment of Oryong High School, which passed the Ministry of Education’s central investment review ▲ 20 billion KRW for the Jeonnam Youth Culture Center ▲ 3.6 billion KRW for the construction of the Samhyang Industrial Complex Multipurpose Cultural Center ▲ 5.5 billion KRW for the Agricultural Products Production Area Distribution Center Support Project ▲ 5 billion KRW for island area specialization projects ▲ 1.6 billion KRW for the Forest Camping Forest Creation Project, securing diverse budgets across various fields.


County Governor Kim San self-assessed, “As a result of the dedicated efforts of over 800 public officials for county development, we achieved good results in many fields,” and urged, “Next year, please work even harder to further improve the quality of life for our residents.”
