[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Jang Je-guk, president of Dongseo University, has been reappointed as the 10th president and will continue to lead Dongseo University for a four-year term.
During his previous term, President Jang achieved significant accomplishments such as the premium project for university specialization, attracting 2,000 international students, and securing various government projects, earning renewed trust from the board of directors.
The Dongseo Academy Foundation held a board meeting on the 26th and appointed President Jang Je-guk as the 10th president of Dongseo University. President Jang's new term will be from March 1, 2023, to the end of February 2027, lasting four years.
The Dongseo Academy Foundation board stated, "President Jang has achieved outstanding results while managing Dongseo University," and added, "He was unanimously reappointed to accelerate the university's development."
A representative of Dongseo Academy Foundation explained, "To overcome the various crises the university faces, President Jang, who has proven expertise in university management and extensive experience and capabilities across politics, economy, culture, and diplomacy, was judged to be the most suitable candidate."
President Jang earned a bachelor's and master's degree in political science from The George Washington University in the United States, a doctorate in law from Syracuse University College of Law in the United States, and a doctorate in political science from Keio University in Japan.
