Promoting Using Nationwide Broadcasting Networks
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyoon] The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which operates the secretariat of the 2030 Busan World Expo Hosting Support Private Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Private Committee), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korea Cable TV Broadcasting Association (hereinafter KCTA) and the Korea IPTV Broadcasting Association (hereinafter KIBA) at the Chamber of Commerce building on the 27th.
At the signing ceremony, Park Dongmin, head of the Private Committee secretariat, Lee Junghui, secretary general of KCTA, and Kim Wonmyung, secretary general of KIBA, attended.
The three organizations will utilize their respective capabilities to carry out promotional activities to foster a domestic atmosphere supportive of hosting the Busan World Expo.
KCTA will be responsible for news coverage, interviews, and special program production related to the Busan World Expo by leveraging its nationwide cable broadcasting network.
KIBA will actively conduct internal and external promotional activities such as video transmission through IPTV and satellite broadcasting operators.
The Private Committee will support the two associations with Busan World Expo content and other resources.
Im Chunghyun, head of planning at the Private Committee, stated, “KCTA and KIBA are hubs of information and cultural communication with networks of cable broadcasters and IPTV and satellite broadcasting operators across 78 regions nationwide. Since ‘public support’ is included as a criterion in the onsite inspection by the International Exhibitions Bureau scheduled for April next year, this MOU signing will greatly contribute to boosting nationwide enthusiasm for the hosting bid.”
