[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Hyundai Department Store Mia Branch (Branch Manager Oh Hyung-man) donated 3 million won on the 21st to help vulnerable residents in Seongbuk-gu (District Mayor Lee Seung-ro) have a warm winter.

Hyundai Department Store Mia Branch also donated funds last winter to support vulnerable groups and continues to carry out social contribution activities that give back to the local community.

A department store official stated, “We decided to donate to deliver love and warmth to the neighbors in the area who are having an especially cold winter due to the economic downturn and cold wave.”

Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, said, “It is a difficult time for everyone, and I sincerely thank Hyundai Department Store Mia Branch for their warm-hearted support. This donation will be a great comfort and strength to vulnerable residents who are having an even harder time getting through the winter due to the cold wave. We also hope that the public and private sectors will continue to cooperate to form a caring community and further spread the culture of sharing.”

Branch Manager Oh Hyung-man said, “I find it meaningful to be able to show warmth to residents in the area who are struggling during this unusually cold winter, and I will continue to give back to marginalized neighbors and strive to deliver warm hope to them.”

Meanwhile, the donation will be used as support funds for a warm winter for low-income vulnerable groups in Gireum 2-dong.
