Robot Delivers Food and Beverages Up to the Glamping Site Front
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Robotis, a company specializing in autonomous driving robots, announced on the 23rd that it will begin a pilot operation of a delivery service using the outdoor delivery robot 'Ilgaemi' in collaboration with Daekyo Group's Midas Hotel & Resort.
Midas Hotel, located in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, operates the 'Hestia Winter Glamping,' where guests can enjoy BBQ even in winter, and runs a robot delivery service for the convenience of its customers.
When customers using the glamping site order food and beverages by phone, hotel staff receive the order, and Ilgaemi delivers the items to the front of the glamping site on behalf of the staff. After completing the delivery, Ilgaemi automatically returns.
Until now, hotel staff had to walk a long distance to provide food and beverage delivery services because the glamping site is about 500 meters away from the hotel building. However, with the introduction of Ilgaemi, the travel caused by simple delivery services can be reduced.
