[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seoyoon] Park Junkyung, Executive Vice President and Head of Sales at Kumho Petrochemical and eldest son of Chairman Park Changu, has been promoted to President. Park Joohyung, Executive Director in charge of Purchasing and daughter of Chairman Park, was also promoted to Vice President. In the business community, there is an analysis that Kumho Petrochemical Group will officially transition to a third-generation management system with Park's promotion to President as a turning point.


According to the industry on the 23rd, Kumho Petrochemical Group announced these personnel changes for its affiliates internally the day before.


President Park joined Kumho Tire in 2007 and moved to Kumho Petrochemical in 2010. After being promoted to Vice President in June last year, he became President in a year and a half. At the extraordinary shareholders' meeting held in July this year, he was also appointed as an inside director. President Park's Kumho Petrochemical shares


President Park's younger sister, Vice President Park Joohyung, joined Daewoo International in 2010 and joined Kumho Petrochemical in 2015.


As of the end of September this year, President Park's shareholding in Kumho Petrochemical is 7.45%, higher than Chairman Park's 6.96%.
