Hampyeong-gun Launches Full-Scale Efforts to Create Dementia-Friendly Environment

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Health Center of Hampyeong County, Jeonnam, successfully held the 'Dementia Prevention Health 100-Year-Old Youth Concert' to create a dementia-friendly environment.


According to the county on the 22nd, the county held the 'Dementia Prevention Health 100-Year-Old Youth Concert' on the 20th at the Hampyeong Culture and Sports Center, attended by about 600 residents.


The event proceeded in the order of a pre-ceremony performance, national anthem, greetings, designation plaque awarding for dementia-safe villages, delivery of safety supplies, special lecture by a distinguished guest, and post-ceremony performance.


In particular, the special lecture, conducted by Professor Lee Hoseon of Soongsil Cyber University, covered topics such as the mindset for dementia prevention under the theme "Overcoming Dementia for Health at 100 Years Determines Happiness."


Additionally, celebratory performances including Samulnori and Hallyangmu by the Hampyeong Narda Art Troupe added excitement to the event.


County Governor Lee Sang-ik said, “In the era of 100 years, we will discover and operate various welfare policies so that the elderly can live a healthy old age without worrying about dementia.”
