Gwangju City Council Holds 'Neighborly Love Year-End Sharing Event'

Gwangju City Council Holds 'Neighborly Love Year-End Sharing Event'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Metropolitan Council (Chairman Jeong Muchang) announced on the 22nd that it held the 'Neighborly Love Year-end Sharing Event.'

This event was organized to conclude the year's legislative activities by caring for neighbors in need and sharing warm affection in a meaningful way.

Instead of the customary year-end event for council members, daily necessities such as kimchi for kimjang and rice were prepared to support low-income vulnerable groups in the district and delivered to five autonomous districts.

Jeong Muchang, Chairman of the Gwangju Metropolitan Council, said, "We prepared this event to practice the values of hope and sharing, thinking that there are more neighbors suffering due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," adding, "Especially in difficult and challenging times, I hope we can create a healthy society where we live together and that everyone has a warm year-end."
