Located in the Revitalized Myeongdong... 'Lucky Draw and Event' Running Until the 25th
SMKT&I (CEO Ahn Young-hwan, Kim Kyung-ho) announced that Shoemarker, Korea's first shoes multi-shop, will launch a new type of shoes multi-store called 'Shoemarker Plus' in Myeongdong, offering a variety of products and added enjoyment.
The Myeongdong commercial district, which saw a decline in visitors and increased vacancies due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is gradually recovering thanks to the exchange rate effect and an increase in foreign tourists, with a noticeable rise in new brands entering the market.
In particular, the flagship store of a famous Japanese sports brand that was located in the UNESCO Hall on Myeongdong-gil closed, and in its place, the native shoes multi-shop Shoemarker Plus opened, attracting attention.
Shoemarker Plus has significantly strengthened its product lineup by adding items from global sports brands such as Nike, Adidas, and New Balance, casual brands like Vans and Converse, as well as online-exclusive brands and overseas direct sourcing brands that were not previously seen in the market. Especially true to its identity as a native shoes multi-shop, Korean designer brands elldu and Rawfit Studio have joined the store, adding freshness.
Additionally, the store offers private brands (PB) such as Weber, Honey April, Marcus, and Mitsu, providing diversity and rationality in shopping.
Moreover, it features various shoe care products including DFNS (Defense), an eco-friendly lifestyle care brand's shoe cleaner, and offers custom-made insoles by Foot Master from SIDAS, a French insole specialist brand. Foot care products like foot cream and foot masks, which were not available in existing shoes multi-shops, are also introduced, greatly expanding the product category.
To improve shopping convenience, a Smart Order Tracking System (SOTS) was introduced, allowing customers to quickly receive numerous products stored in the 2nd-floor warehouse spanning over 160 pyeong at the 1st floor.
Considering the unique characteristics of Myeongdong, which attracts many tourists and travelers, a baggage storage service is planned to be launched starting January.
