T'way Air Displays Aircraft Sculpture at '2022 Seoul Bichchorong' Festival

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] T'way Air announced on the 22nd that it will participate in the '2022 Seoul Light Lantern Festival' organized and hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Foundation by exhibiting airplane sculptures.

The '2022 Seoul Light Lantern Festival' is ongoing at Gwanghwamun Square until the 31st under the theme of 'Light of Togetherness and Companionship.' Various sculptures matching each theme have been installed from the entrance of the square where Admiral Yi Sun-sin's statue stands to in front of Gwanghwamun. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful lights every evening from 6 PM to 10 PM through illumination.

The exhibition is divided into four zones, and among them, the T'way Air sculptures can be found in Zone 4, themed 'Welcome MY SOUL SEOUL.'

Zone 4 symbolizes foreign tourists disembarking from airplanes landing in Seoul, reflecting hopes for the revival of Seoul tourism. T'way Air meets citizens with three airplane (A330-300) sculptures descending into Gwanghwamun Square, embodying hopes for the revitalization of Seoul tourism.

Following the easing of quarantine regulations, T'way Air is actively expanding routes to Japan and Southeast Asia. Since the 16th, it has resumed the Gimpo-Songshan (Taipei) route, facilitating convenient air travel not only for passengers traveling abroad from Korea but also for inbound tourists visiting Korea.

To commemorate participation in the 2022 Seoul Light Lantern Festival, a SNS event is also being held. By taking a photo of the T'way Air airplane sculptures and tagging the T'way Air account on a personal Instagram feed or story post, participants will be entered into a draw to receive coffee gifticons.

A T'way Air official stated, “We recommend visiting Gwanghwamun, adorned with splendid lights, to see the airplane sculptures and participate in the SNS event. We will continue to support the comfortable travel of foreign tourists visiting Korea through diverse routes and top-level safety.”
