[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The group 'Bangtan Sonyeondan' (BTS) solidified their position on the US Billboard charts despite the year-end carol album rush.


According to the latest chart (dated December 24) released by Billboard on the 20th (local time), BTS's anthology album 'Proof' rose 15 spots from the previous week to rank 95 on the main album chart 'Billboard 200,' marking its 27th consecutive week on the chart.


'Proof' also climbed 3 spots to claim the top position on the 'World Albums' chart, where it has consistently appeared since its release.


Having announced their second act, BTS is also performing well in their individual activities.

'Dreamers,' featuring vocals by BTS's Jungkook, rebounded to 3rd place on the 'World Digital Song Sales' chart, maintaining its presence on the chart for four consecutive weeks. This song, the official theme for the '2022 Qatar World Cup,' demonstrates steady popularity even as the World Cup concludes, ranking 30th on the 'Global (excluding US)' chart and 39th on the 'Pop Songs' chart.


RM's first official solo album 'Indigo,' released on the 2nd, secured 4th place on the 'World Albums' chart. The album's title track 'Deulkkochnori' (with Jo Yujin) ranked 2nd on the 'World Digital Song Sales' chart and 126th on the 'Global (excluding US)' chart. Jin's first solo single 'The Astronaut,' released on the 13th after his enlistment, maintained its chart presence for seven consecutive weeks, ranking 14th on the 'World Digital Song Sales' chart.
