[Asia Economy Reporter Seohee Lee] Pulmuone announced on the 20th that it will launch a new convenience food that allows consumers to enjoy Chodang-style soft tofu with microwave-only cooking.
The new product, ‘One Meal Mongle Soft Tofu 2 Types,’ is a new series of the One Meal Mongle Soft Tofu released in the first half of this year, available in ‘Perilla Seed Soft Tofu Soup’ and ‘Jjamppong Soft Tofu Soup’ flavors. It is composed in a kit (KIT) form, containing Chodang-style soft tofu and a separately packaged sauce.
The new product is characterized by maximizing the texture. Soy milk obtained from organic soybeans is coagulated twice to enjoy the soft and tender texture and rich flavor of Chodang-style soft tofu, as experienced in Gangneung or specialty tofu restaurants.
The product is also easy to prepare. Without the need to boil separately, simply tear off the film of the product container, slightly cover the lid, and microwave for 3 minutes. The product container is made of materials safe for microwave use.
A Pulmuone representative said, "We will continue to expand the lineup by adding menus that satisfy consumers’ tastes and needs, leading the convenience food soft tofu market."
