Seoul Shilla Hotel Transforms 'The Library' into a Wine Bar for Evening Hours

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Seoul Shilla Hotel announced on the 20th that it will operate the first-floor lounge, 'The Library,' as a wine bar during the evening hours. During the day, it serves as a high-class meeting place and a lounge for business, and in the evening, it transforms into a pleasant wine bar featuring live jazz performances.

The Library has expanded its Burgundy region wine selection to 208 varieties and prepared 102 types of whiskey. The appetizer menu is also diverse, offering 15 kinds including octopus ceviche, spicy Thai shrimp, and caviar, all of which can be paired with wine.

The wine bar concept is called After Glow, meaning the time when the evening sunset leaves a lingering impression. Guests can enjoy wines carefully selected by sommeliers and paired appetizers in a comfortable atmosphere while admiring the ever-changing sunset and night view of Namsan. The After Glow exclusive seating consists of about 60 seats by the window area, ideal for enjoying live jazz performances while overlooking the sunset-dyed Namsan.

To celebrate the year-end, The Library offers a season-limited special course called Festive Winter Moments with After Glow. This course provides five special menu items for a distinguished experience in an elegant space, along with three glasses of pairing wine. They also introduce a room package called After Glow of The Library.
