[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) announced on the 20th that it approved the management disposition plan for the Noryangjin 4 Redevelopment Promotion Zone Redevelopment Project (hereinafter Noryangjin 4 District) on the 19th.
The approval of the management disposition plan is an important stage in the redevelopment project where the rights of the union members are confirmed, and it took up to a year from submission to review.
However, Dongjak-gu approved the management disposition plan for Heukseok 11 District in just four months last August, and similarly approved the Noryangjin 4 District plan four months after its submission in August.
A district official stated, "Rapid administrative processing was achieved as a result of prior integrated discussions with related departments and close consultation and communication with the redevelopment union."
Noryangjin 4 District is the fourth to receive approval for the management disposition plan following districts 2, 6, and 8 within the Noryangjin Redevelopment Promotion Zone. Afterward, during the resident relocation and building demolition period, the project implementation plan will be revised once, with main construction scheduled to begin in 2025.
Since the 8th term of the civilian government, the district has established ‘Republic of Dongjak Corporation,’ a housing maintenance consulting organization, and is promoting ‘Dongjak-gu-style redevelopment and reconstruction’ to shorten the project period by more than half.
Mayor Park Il-ha emphasized, “By concentrating administrative power for rapid maintenance projects, we were able to shorten the management disposition plan approval process by eight months. Various development projects in Dongjak-gu will proceed faster than anywhere else, changing the urban landscape.”

Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seong-heon) will operate a ‘Traditional Market Experience Week’ under the slogan ‘Thank you for your hard work this year too!’ from the 21st to the 30th.
At Yeongcheon Market, ‘Korean Tapas Yeongcheon 21’ featuring 21 participating stores will be held, where visitors can enjoy representative market foods such as twisted doughnuts (kkwabaegi), grilled short rib patties (tteokgalbi), boiled pork slices (pyeonyuk), assorted pancakes (modeumjeon), as well as seasonal foods like gwamegi and oysters.
Office workers who enjoy the food can put their business cards into a box placed at the Yeongcheon rest area to enter a raffle for prizes such as cultural gift certificates. Additionally, anyone who uploads photos of the food on their Instagram will also be entered into a draw to receive year-end gifts like hair dryers.
On the 4th floor of the Durebak building at Yeongcheon Market, a ‘Korean Tapas Yeongcheon 21 × Traditional Liquor Pairing Class’ will be held. Traditional liquor sommelier Min Jun-ho will conduct a ‘Humanities Lecture on Our Alcohol,’ allowing participants to experience traditional liquors paired with representative foods from Yeongcheon Market.
At Pobangteo Market, a self-branded meal kit (ready-to-cook set) called ‘For You For Meal’ (for you for meal) will be launched.
Five products (Mother and Son Spicy Braised Chicken, Pobangteo Stir-fried Octopus, Good Codfish, Prince Tteokbokki, Beef Bulgogi) can be purchased 24 hours a day from unmanned vending machines installed at the market entrance. Customers who post photos and reviews of the prepared dishes on their Instagram will be entered into a raffle to receive various gifts.
Additionally, a ‘Relay Prize Event’ offering Onnuri gift certificates (5,000 KRW) to customers who purchase more than 30,000 KRW will be held consecutively at Baekryeon Market (21?22), Inwang Market (22), Hongje Alley Shopping District (22?23), Yujin Shopping Center (26), Pobangteo Market (28), and Yeongcheon Market (29?30).
