Reflecting on Activity Achievements and Fostering Harmony Among Members

The Changwon City Council of the Gyeongnam Barugesalgi Movement held the '2022 Barugesalgi Movement Members' Conference'.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Song Jong-gu] The Changwon City Council of the Barun Living Movement in Gyeongnam held the ‘2022 Barun Living Movement Members’ Conference’ on the 19th at the Neulpureunjeondang Performance Hall to pledge harmony among members.

The event was organized to reflect on the achievements of the year and strengthen unity and cohesion, with about 200 members attending, including Chairman Heo Sang-su. Commendations were awarded to 116 members who demonstrated exemplary volunteer activities in recognition of their contributions.

At this event, the Barun Living Movement council members pledged to take the lead in the Barun Living Movement that guides the local community in 2023 as well.

Chairman Heo said, “Through today’s event, I expect it will be an opportunity to add warmth, heart, and wisdom among neighbors and to make the harmony among members even stronger,” and added, “We will continue to carry out more active volunteer activities in the new year of 2023, the Year of the Black Rabbit.”

Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, said, “I thank all the Barun Living members for their hard work in carrying out various activities for the local community despite the difficult circumstances this year,” and added, “I ask for your active participation so that our city can continue to develop and become a healthy society where citizens cooperate and harmonize with each other.”

The Changwon City Council of the Barun Living Movement conducts autonomous and proactive civic movements under the three core ideals of truth, order, and harmony, and contributes to creating a society of coexistence and a healthy local community through various support activities for marginalized groups.
