[Asia Economy Reporter Noh Kyung-jo] Samsung C&T Corporation's construction division announced on the 17th that it was selected as the contractor at the general meeting of the Sajik 2 District Urban Environment Improvement Project Association held in Sajik-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
The Sajik 2 District project involves constructing 14 apartment buildings with 455 households and auxiliary welfare facilities, ranging from three basement floors to 12 above-ground floors, on the site at 311-10 Sajik-dong. The announced construction cost is approximately 176.7 billion KRW.
Samsung C&T plans to leverage the geographical advantages of Sajik 2 District by proposing a differentiated design that connects the values of history, culture, and nature, and will introduce various smart residential products.
The complex's exterior will be specialized with motifs inspired by traditional Korean landscape paintings, and landscaping designs will resemble the four seasons and scenery of Inwangsan Mountain. Advanced Internet of Things (IoT) technology and smart home products from Raemian will also be applied.
Community facilities will include a drop-off cafe, library, fitness center, golf practice range, pet care facilities, and study cafes. Additionally, an automatic ventilation system in the parking lot and internal ventilation systems in each unit will be installed for residents' health management, along with specialized technologies to reduce noise between floors.
A Samsung C&T official stated, "Since Sajik 2 District is the first Raemian project inside the Seoul Four Great Gates area, we will mobilize all our expertise to develop it as a landmark."
Meanwhile, Samsung C&T has secured urban maintenance and remodeling projects worth a total of 1.8686 trillion KRW this year, including Sajik 2 District.
