[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Nonghyup Distribution, which operates Nonghyup Hanaro Mart, announced on the 16th that it will offer '30 eggs,' a representative item on the dining table, at a discount of up to 31% to ease the burden on customers facing rising egg prices due to the recent spread of avian influenza (AI).

At Nonghyup Hanaro Mart locations in Yangjae, Changdong, Cheongju, Daejeon, Busan, and Jeonju, which are representative stores for domestic agricultural, livestock, and marine products, 30 eggs will be sold at a discount of up to 31% with a limited daily sales quantity until the 21st to stabilize dining table prices.

A representative from the livestock team at Nonghyup Distribution said, "Many customers feel burdened by shopping due to rising egg prices caused by the recent spread of AI," adding, "To stabilize dining table prices, we are holding a discount event for 30 eggs at six representative Nonghyup Distribution stores, and we ask for your enthusiastic response."
