bhc Chicken Launches 'Red King Pork Ribs'... "Crispy Outside, Tender Inside with Crunchy Flakes"

[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] bhc Chicken announced on the 15th that it will launch its second new menu item of the year, the ‘Red King Pork Ribs’.


Red King Pork Ribs is a unique frying menu applying bhc Chicken’s product technology to pork ribs (pork back ribs marinated and oven-roasted). The oven-roasted pork ribs are fried, mixed with Red King sauce, and topped with crunchy flakes, creating a spicy and crispy flavor combination. Especially, the meat part of the ribs is coated with bhc Chicken’s exclusive batter mix and then fried, resulting in a crispy outside and tender, moist inside texture, which is a distinctive feature compared to the traditional oven-cooked ribs.


The accompanying ‘Wedge Potatoes’ add richness to the new menu. The wedge potatoes are made from whole domestic potatoes cut into bite-sized pieces and fried, offering a savory and salty taste that complements the spiciness of the Red King Pork Ribs.


The ‘Gochujang Direct Flame Grill’ is also launched on the same day. This menu features chicken seasoned with gochujang, a favorite Korean chili paste, and grilled over direct flame, delivering a spicy flavor with a smoky aroma. It is versatile and can be used to make dishes like chicken rice bowls.


The side menu ‘Chicken’s Neck’ is introduced as well. Chicken’s Neck is made from a special part of the chicken neck, which yields about 20g per chicken, brined and aged using bhc Chicken’s fried cooking method, then coated with breadcrumbs and fried to a crispy finish.


Meanwhile, to celebrate the launch of the new menu, bhc Chicken is holding the ‘bhc Flavor Expression Contest’ event until January 4th next year, allowing customers to enjoy Red King Pork Ribs in more diverse ways. The event invites participants to freely express their expectations or tasting reviews of the new menu in a 13-second video content and share it on their personal social media accounts (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok) with designated hashtags. Winners will receive new menu gifticons and AirPods Max (1 person), an opportunity to appear on the popular YouTube channel ‘WagTV,’ and an iPad Pro (1 person).
