[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Interliquor, a subsidiary of Drink International, announced on the 15th that it will launch a new product, the "Single Cask" edition of Loch Lomond, a Scottish single malt whiskey famous as the official whiskey of the world's four major golf tournaments, the Open Championship.

The Single Cask is purchased by buying an entire cask, then bottling it, attaching a customized label with the buyer's name or logo, and delivering it to the buyer. Since the taste and aroma of the whiskey contained in the cask vary depending on the cask's origin, size, storage method, and aging years, the specifications available for purchase change every year. The quantity of casks sold is very limited, making it rare and valuable. Depending on the size of the cask, about 200 to 300 bottles (based on 750ml) of whiskey come from a single cask.

The newly released Single Cask is a product that was aged in bourbon casks and then transferred to Oloroso Hogshead casks (large casks used for wine aging in Spain) for secondary aging over several years. The alcohol content is 55.5%, and 318 bottles were bottled. This cask product can only be purchased through the online liquor sales platform "Daily Shot."

An Interliquor official said, "Loch Lomond Single Cask is a rare product that satisfies the needs of today's consumers who value their own preferences and individuality," adding, "We plan to expand sales through distribution channels and communities and strengthen brand activities to promote the charm of the Single Cask that embodies Loch Lomond's personality."
