[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] The inauguration ceremony of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs-affiliated education-specialized NGO, the incorporated association GlobalEdu, aimed at supporting education and relief projects for socially vulnerable groups domestically and internationally, was held at 11 a.m. in December at the Korea Press Center.
The event was attended by over 200 people, including Chairman Pastor Sokangseok, Vice Chairman Pastor Jeontaesik, Presbyterian Church of Korea (Hapdong) General Assembly President Pastor Isunchang, National Assembly Breakfast Prayer Meeting Chairman Congressman Leechaeik, Senior Advisor Pastor Parkjonggu, Pastor Sinjeongho, and Elder Dusangdal.
GlobalEdu plans to carry out projects such as ▲education projects for socially vulnerable groups domestically and internationally ▲community development and relief projects ▲professional education and training projects domestically and internationally ▲expansion of educational facilities and development and distribution of educational equipment ▲management and improvement of educational environments.
GlobalEdu stated, “We plan to have 10,000 GlobalEdu members within one year, ultimately aiming for 100,000 members,” adding, “As a corporation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we will actively cooperate with the Korean church and international NGOs to nurture global leaders, promote harmony and prosperity worldwide, and actively engage in poverty support and development relief projects.”
